Obama Behind McCain in Electoral Votes

"It's official," Alegre's Corner reports. McSame leads Obama with 274 electoral votes against 264 for The Chosen One.

What's more, polling from yesterday shows McCain picked up seven electoral votes in one day alone.

Also, the new monthly Reuters/Zogby poll is out, and it's not pretty either...

Poll shows McCain in 5-point lead over Obama In a sharp turnaround, Republican John McCain has opened a 5-point lead on Democrat Barack bama in the U.S. presidential ace and is seen as a stronger manager of the economy, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent, wiping out Obama's solid 7-point advantage in July and taking his first lead in the monthly Reuters/Zogby poll.

Folks, can you believe in one month Obama lost 9 points among Democrats and 12 points among liberals?

Well, as someone who considers herself liberal, the howler can attest to the numbers. Are you listening superdelegates?? Don't listen to folks like Donna Brazille who insisted in '00 that Gore didn't Clinton. For the last eight years, the country has had to live the nightmare of such short-sighted advice.

Come to think about it, sure looks like Barky better hurry up and select Hillary as his running mate or with his dismal polling numbers, he's likely to find himself on the outside looking in.

Comments:
Just two quick observations: 1) Donna Brazille is quite short-sighted indeed, and one wonders why anyone in their right mind still listens to her, and 2) John McCain is still a right-wing nutjob.

Carry on.

Yep, an August poll definitely is the harbinger of whether a candidate will win in November!

Also, since Hillary is hypothetically "ahead" by a 49-43 margin over McCain, where is this supposed double digit lead that Hillary was destined to have? Didn't all the PUMAs say that if Hillary was the nominee, she would be above 50 percent?

She didn't close the deal and she lost. I can see you're still the same bumbling shill who doesn't understand a thing about politics.

Also, Donna Brazile knows more about running campaigns than any of you combined. Mark Penn and Maggie Williams couldn't even get Hillary out of the primaries.

Sen. Biden will be a purposeful and dynamic vice president who will help Sen. Obama both win the presidency and govern this great country."

- Hillary Clinton

Jon: Hey, I didn't mean to insult a friend of yours. I don't know Brazile. I do agree that Penn and Williams are just as worthless as Brazile, though.

Also, I agree with your points about Hillary Clinton. Too much beating of that dead horse here.

And John McCain is still a right-wing nutjob.
