No Needle for Sean Taylor's Murderers

The Washington Post reports that "[t]he four men who are charged with the murder of Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor will not face the death penalty."

You see, the triggerman was a minor and Florida law prohibits capital murder charges if the actual shooter was a minor, even though codefendants may have been adults.

As an opponent to capital punishment, the howler is always happy to come across a case in a pro-death penalty state where state law takes the needle off the prosecutor's table.
