Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman to the Rescue
Only hours ago, Howling Latina was bellyaching about the fact that Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh told a ball-ass lie to the Senate when they asked him what he knew of the administration's designation of detainees as illegal combatants.
Well fear not. Sen. Patrick Leahy is on the case and to the rescue.
Think Progress reports that Leahy wrote a letter to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales asking Justice to investigate the patent lie to Congress told by the good judge. Especially when he claimed total ignorance about the White House discussion, and we now know that while Cheney was insisting everyone be locked up, Kavanaugh was passionately arguing the policy would never pass Supreme Court muster.
In other words, another sworn testimony by a GOPer filled with lies.
