Speaker Hastern Possibly Snagged in House Culture of Corruption?!?
In breaking news, ABC News via AMERICAblog and Raw Story has reported that House Speaker Dennis Hastert is being investigated by the FBI.
It seems information from a few of Jack Abramoff’s friends “implicated” the distinguished gentleman from Illinois.
Ohmygod, no wonder Hastert went ballistic when the government raided the congressional office of Rep. William Jefferson of Louisiana last Saturday; and poor Nancy Pelosi unwittingly fell for his so-called constitutional outrage.The Speaker of the House of Representatives…is under investigation by the FBI, which is seeking to determine his role in an ongoing public corruption probe into members of Congress, ABC News has learned from high level government sources.

Part of the investigation involves a letter Hastert wrote three years ago, urging the Secretary of the Interior to block a casino on an Indian reservation that would have competed with other tribes.
