Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire
A Richmond Times-Dispatch journalist was fired for lying and plagiarizing.
An earlier story about public reaction to Bush’s immigration speech had quoted Bill Threlkeld, site director for Project Hope and Harmony of Herndon as if the reporter had actually interviewed him.
But the reporter never interviewed Threlkeld and background for the article was stolen right out of an earlier item by the Washington Post.
What’s more, a “pavilion that the story described as protecting the workers from the elements has been planned but not built, Editor and Publisher reports.
Oops, can’t have any observable factual errors in a contrived story, folks.
