Clear Field for Harris Implosion in Florida

The Orlando Sentinel via Taegan Goddard's Political Wire reports that the Florida House Speaker has refused to run against Sen. Ben Nelson in Florida.
House Speaker Allan Bense (R) announced he would not run for U.S. Senate, the Orlando Sentinel reports. With the filing deadline on Friday, it's unlikely any other Republicans will challenge Rep. Katherine Harris (R-FL) for the Republican nomination to take on Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL).
As Taegan notes, the GOP is stuck with dear ol' Katherine. And with her pretty mug and name across TV-land and newspapers sucking the wind out of every state race, the top of both the Senate and governor's race will nicely fall into Democratic hands.

Oh Howling Latina just loves the universe; and the law of karma. The Bush brothers have reaped in '06 what they so brilliantly sowed in '00. And HL looks for Ohio to align in similar fashion in the governor's race in Ohio.

Looking ahead to 2008, Democrats should have governors sitting pretty in both Ohio and Florida.

Going to e-mail everyone I know about your site.

Glad you like my blog:)
