South Africa Approves Gay Marriages
In the meantime, South Africa, a country who knows more than a little something-something about a shameful racist past "overwhelmingly voted today to legalize same-sex marriages."
Truth and reconciliation is South Africa's motto. No hanging for prior presidents--even if they were responsible for the deaths of untold thousands. And now equal rights for gays.
Melanie Judge, program manager for OUT, a gay rights advocacy group, noted that the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Canada were the only other countries to allow same-sex marriages nationwide. In most African nations, she said, homosexuality is still treated as a crime. Some penalties are stiffer than those for rape or murder.
Ms. Judge credited South Africa’s liberal constitution with forcing change.
“This has been a litmus test of our constitutional values,” she said in a telephone interview. “What does equality really mean? What does it look like? Equality does not exist on a sliding scale.”
Just one more thing to think about as we salivate at the prospect of hanging Saddam Hussein and keep trying to legislate marriage to conform with some ideal non-existing virtual reality of connubial bliss.
Anyone who promotes this gay 'marriage' agenda has no part of the Kingdom of God. HL, you might be a Southern Baptist but you and anyone else doing this will not be visiting Heaven anytime soon.
Not a sermon, just God's word...
And then the Bible admonishes:
"Judge not lest thee be judged thyself, for how can thou see the splinter in thine brothers eye, when thoust can't see the log in thy own."
Heb 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Jas 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Gal 5:19-21 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
But stay tune, I'll be posting more Bible quotes to further support my point!
By the way, this is FUN!
