Is the Death Penalty Pendulum Swinging?!?

A federal court jury in Virginia sentenced avowed Al-Qaeda terrorist Zacarias Moussaoui to life in prison for his role in the September 11 terrorist attacks.

The jury of nine men and three woman could not unanimously agree to a death sentence after deliberating for seven days; and according to the Washington Post, Moussaoui "automatically" will now be sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Like the jury, it appears the public is as ambivalent about the Moussaoui case as they were. In a self-directed poll by American Online, 55 percent of respondents did not agree with the jury decision, but more telling, 45 percent of the respondents agreed.

WOW!

Sorry Waldo.
