The Fitzgerald Plame bunny battery just keeps on going and going....

Today the New York Sun is reporting that the White House may have deleted a few e-mails during the early phase of Plame affair by someone from the vice president's office.

Oh goodness! Here is what Fitzgerald told Libby's counsel last week.

We advise you that we have learned that not all e-mail of the Office of Vice President and the Executive Office of the President for certain time periods in 2003 was preserved through the normal archiving process on the White House computer system," Mr. Fitzgerald wrote in the January 23 letter, which was filed in federal court on Tuesday. A White House spokesman.

Well, this is the modus operandi of all Republican cover-ups. As the Sun reports, the Reagan administration tried to pull the same stunt during the Iran-Contra affair, but fortunately for America, the courts stopped them before they could delete incriminating evidence.

It all kinna makes sense now, why Bush is so darn loyal to his deputies. Hell, they all know he's been breaking the law since he raised his right hand and placed it on the Bible, swearing to uphold the Constitution. And what's more, they know where bodies are buried.

Daily Kos has a riveting post on the topic. The long and short of it, Gonzales might have to do some heavy-duty "esplaining to do do." It's about a 12-hour gap, possible tampering with evidence by the White House, and oh my God, potential perjury by Gonzales when he testified to the grand jury in June 2004.
