Ay, Caramba, Señor DeLay in very big trouble...

Trolling through the Internet, I came across Texas Politics and learned poor dear Tom was hit with yet another subpoena. This time for bank records from "a Frost Bank records custodian" in connection with accounts linked to the Texs Repubilcan Congressional Committee.

The Dallas Morning News is reporting online that the subpoena asks for "monthly statements and signature cards from August 2002 to January 2003."

Of course, this is the same period when DeLay was busy collecting funds to ensure victory for his gerrymandering scheme, which ultimately increased the Republican majorities in both the Texas state legislature and Congress.
DeLay and two associates are accused of funneling $190,000 in corporate contributions through a political committee and an arm of the National Republican Committee to seven GOP legislative candidates in the November 2002 general election.

Taking a cue from our fearless president, DeLay's attorney said "the subpoenas are not enforcable," so there, take it and shove it. The case is under appeal and that's that!

Your move, Ronnie Earle...
